Lauren loves providing amazing client experiences and fun interactions.  As an employee turned entrepreneur, she has spent time working in Nashville, Atlanta, Charleston, & Athens.  After obtaining a Bachelor’s from College of Charleston and a Master’s Degree from MUSC, she spent the next 15 years working in the medical industry as a hand therapist and obtained the highest advanced certification in her field.  After years of being in a 9 to 5 role, Lauren became interested in entrepreneurship.  She gained extensive experience in e-commerce and social media through ownership of an online retail company that utilized Etsy, Shopify, Instagram, Google, and email campaigns.  As a new business owner, Lauren immediately learned the importance of product cost, marketing budgets, structure, tax savings, and financial fundamentals.  She now owns multiple businesses, several short-term and long-term rental properties. She helps new clients understand the benefits of the Brown & McCook difference and makes the transition to Brown & McCook easy and stress-free.  Being married to Chad has created years of experience and details around tax deductions and creative tax planning.  Lauren serves on the board of Bethlehem Ministry, a non-profit that provides support for the people of Terrier Rouge, Haiti.  She enjoys hiking, running, traveling, loving on her dogs, and spending time on the water.
